AIS Healthcare is looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collections Manager to join our dynamic team! This position is responsible for directing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Miscellaneous Accounts Receivables Teams (including Aetna, Cigna, Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers) to maximize reimbursements. The Manager oversees these groups, focusing on managing denials, preparing appeals, and ensuring reimbursements align with contracts. The Collections Manager will perform quality reviews, identify training needs, and help document policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, deep knowledge of collection practices, and work in compliance with Federal and State regulations related to billing and collections.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Collections Manager oversees the collection staff and makes daily decisions for AIS Healthcare’s Targeted Drug Delivery services. This role manages all collection functions to maximize cash flow, including contract analysis, reimbursement, denials, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies. The Manager conducts quality reviews, identifies training needs, and documents policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of healthcare industry experience required.
• Home Infusion, Intrathecal Pain Management experience preferred.
• 3-5 years Revenue Cycle Management experience required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee collections operations including contract analysis, AR, denials, claims, adjustments, appeals, and staff productivity.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for collection and billing processes.
• Coordinate with other departments for patient and insurance information.
• Prepare and analyze bi-weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and guidelines.
• Develop and improve policies and procedures.
• Supervise and motivate staff, including remote team management.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of NDC, infusion supplies, insurance plans, and medical codes.
• Participate in hiring, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Understanding of Revenue Cycle Management functions.
• Strong judgment and knowledge of laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and relationship skills.
• Integrity, confidentiality, and knowledge of HIPAA.
• Proficiency in ICD-9 and ICD-10, Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lead a diverse team in a dynamic environment.
• Travel up to 25%.
