Experienced Revenue Cycle Manager - Home Infusion

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collections Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Miscellaneous Accounts Receivables Teams (including Aetna, Cigna, Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers) to maximize reimbursements. Responsibilities include managing denials, preparing appeals, and ensuring reimbursements align with contracted payors. The manager will perform quality reviews, identify training needs, and help document policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of collection practices, and compliance with federal and state billing and collection regulations.

Job Summary

The Collections Manager is a full-time role responsible for overseeing collection staff and making daily operational decisions. This includes managing contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies or responsible parties. The role involves routine quality reviews, training, and policy documentation.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5-7 years of healthcare industry experience required.
• Experience in Home Infusion and Intrathecal Pain Management is preferred.
• 3-5 years of Revenue Cycle Management experience required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee collections operations including contract analysis, AR, denials, claims monitoring, adjustments, and staff productivity.
• Serve as SME for collection and billing processes.
• Coordinate with other departments for patient or insurance information.
• Prepare and analyze bi-weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory mandates and perform quality reviews to improve efficiency.
• Supervise collection staff, including work allocation, training, and performance reviews.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, infusion supplies, insurance plans, medical terminology, and billing procedures.
• Participate in policy development and staff management activities.

Qualification Requirements

• Understanding of Revenue Cycle Management functions.
• Strong judgment and knowledge of laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Integrity, confidentiality, and knowledge of HIPAA.
• Proficiency in ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lead a diverse team in a changing environment.
• Travel up to 25%.
