Experienced Revenue Cycle Manager - Home Infusion

This is a 100% remote position. Please apply only if you have 3-5 years of Medical Insurance Revenue Cycle Management experience.

AIS Healthcare is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collections Manager to join our dynamic team. This role involves directing and coordinating the daily activities of the Miscellaneous Accounts Receivables Teams (including Aetna, Cigna, Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers) to maximize reimbursements. The Manager oversees these groups, managing denials, preparing appeals, and ensuring reimbursements align with contracted payors. Routine tasks include quality reviews, training needs assessment, and policy documentation.

The ideal candidate should possess outstanding communication skills, in-depth knowledge of collection practices, and compliance with Federal and State billing and collection regulations.

Job Summary:

The Collections Manager is a full-time role responsible for overseeing collection staff and making daily operational decisions to maximize cash flow. Responsibilities include contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies or other responsible parties. The Manager performs quality reviews, identifies training needs, and helps document policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of healthcare industry experience required.
  • Home Infusion and Intrathecal Pain Management experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Revenue Cycle Management experience required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee collections operations, including contract analysis, AR, denials, claims monitoring, adjustments, appeals, and staff productivity.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for collection and billing processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments to obtain necessary patient or insurance information.
  • Prepare and analyze bi-weekly and monthly financial reports and scorecards.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory mandates and participate in policy development.
  • Monitor trends impacting charges and coding, and adjust staff and policies accordingly.
  • Supervise collection staff, including work allocation, training, and performance reviews, in both in-office and remote settings.
  • Manage staff scheduling and confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, infusion supplies, insurance plans, medical terminology, and regulations.
  • Promote team knowledge sharing and positive interactions.
  • Conduct hiring, training, and performance management activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of Revenue Cycle Management functions.
  • Good judgment and legal compliance in complex situations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, medical terminology, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lead a diverse team in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
