Experienced Revenue Cycle Manager - Home Infusion

This is a 100% remote position - please apply only if you have 3-5 years of Medical Insurance Revenue Cycle Management experience.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collections Manager to join our team. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Miscellaneous Accounts Receivables Teams, including payers like Aetna, Cigna, Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid, to maximize reimbursements. Responsibilities include managing denials, preparing appeals, and ensuring reimbursements align with contracts. The manager will perform quality reviews, identify training needs, and help document policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, deep knowledge of collection practices, and compliance with Federal and State billing and collection regulations.

Job Summary

The Collections Manager is a full-time role responsible for overseeing collection staff and daily operations related to AIS Healthcare’s TDD services. This includes contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies. The manager will conduct quality reviews, identify training needs, and document policies and procedures.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of healthcare industry experience required.
  • Home Infusion and Intrathecal Pain Management experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Revenue Cycle Management experience required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee operations of the collections department, including contract analysis, AR, denials, claims monitoring, adjustments, appeals, and staff productivity.
  • Serve as SME for collection and billing processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments to obtain necessary patient or insurance information.
  • Prepare and analyze bi-weekly and monthly reports and scorecards.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory procedures.
  • Perform quality reviews to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure activities adhere to federal, state, and payer regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Analyze trends and adjust staff or policies accordingly.
  • Supervise collection staff, including training and motivation, in both in-office and remote settings.
  • Manage staff scheduling and confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, infusion supplies, insurance plans, medical terminology, and codes.
  • Share knowledge and promote teamwork.
  • Conduct hiring, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Understanding of Revenue Cycle Management functions and their integration.
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills in complex situations, compliant with laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong ethics, integrity, and credibility.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information, with knowledge of HIPAA.
  • Proficiency with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, medical terminology, and Microsoft Office.
  • Leadership skills to manage a diverse team through change.
  • Effective communication with patients, staff, and external parties.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to supervise and train staff, prioritize tasks, and make independent decisions.
  • Travel up to 25%.
