Experienced Revenue Cycle Manager - Home Infusion

This is a 100% remote position - please apply only if you have 3-5 years of Medical Insurance Revenue Cycle Management experience.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collections Manager to join our team. This role involves directing and coordinating the daily activities of the Miscellaneous Accounts Receivables Teams across various payors (Aetna, Cigna, Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid) to maximize reimbursements. Responsibilities include managing denials, preparing appeals, and ensuring reimbursements align with contracts. The manager will also perform quality reviews, identify training needs, and help document policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate should possess outstanding communication skills, in-depth knowledge of collection practices, and compliance with federal and state regulations related to billing and collections.

Job Summary:

The Collections Manager is a full-time role overseeing the collection staff and making daily decisions to ensure efficient operations for AIS Healthcare’s TDD services. This includes contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies or other responsible parties. The manager will regularly perform quality reviews, determine training needs, and assist in documenting policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of healthcare industry experience required.
  • Home Infusion and Intrathecal Pain Management experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Revenue Cycle Management experience required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee collections operations, including contract analysis, AR, denials, claims monitoring, adjustments, appeals, and staff productivity.
  • Serve as SME for collection and billing processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments to obtain necessary patient or insurance information.
  • Prepare and analyze bi-weekly and monthly financial reports and scorecards.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory mandates and participate in policy development.
  • Monitor trends, analyze data, and adjust staff and policies accordingly.
  • Supervise collection staff, including work allocation, training, and motivation, in both in-office and remote settings.
  • Manage staff scheduling and confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, infusion supplies, insurance plans, medical terminology, and billing procedures.
  • Foster team knowledge sharing and positive interactions.
  • Handle hiring, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and other HR duties.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive understanding of Revenue Cycle Management functions.
  • Strong judgment and legal knowledge for complex situations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills.
  • Integrity, confidentiality, and knowledge of HIPAA.
  • Proficiency in ICD-9, ICD-10, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lead a diverse team through change.
  • Effective communication with patients, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
