Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for PreOp PACU in the United States. The role focuses on assessing patients’ preoperative and postoperative status, interpreting monitors, and planning individualized perioperative care to ensure safe recovery from anesthesia.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide education on recovery expectations. The ideal candidate holds a BSN and active nursing license, with ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and PALS as required by pediatric scope.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state nursing license in good standing.
• ACLS, BLS/BCLS within required timelines.
• PALS required if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policy.
• Develop individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide recovery management for anesthesia modalities (general, MAC, regional, local).
• Communicate status during the perianesthesia continuum of care.
• Provide education on recovery expectations and wound care; ensure safety and infection control.
