Job summary

Aspen Dental is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to support doctors during procedures and ensure smooth patient flow. You will prepare operatory rooms, sterilize equipment, and train staff on patient handoffs while maintaining HIPAA compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant License/Registration required by state.
• Radiology (x-ray) certification required by state.
• Current CPR or BLS certificate required.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Dental Assistant preferred.
• Proficient at chairside assisting/four-handed dentistry.
• Demonstrate proper sterilization and infection control techniques.
• Maintain annual CE requirements as specified by state.
• State Certification in expanded functions as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Prepare operatory rooms and ensure proper sterilization of equipment.
• Assist with directing the office team to maintain productive patient flow.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and educate patients on oral care.
• Train others to execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow.
• Follow OSHA regulations and HIPAA guidelines and maintain safety standards.
