Job summary

Aspen Dental is hiring an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. You will perform daily duties to create lasting impressions and build trust with patients, while supporting the DA office team for efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities include assisting doctors, preparing operatory, sterilization, radiographs, and training others. This role requires state certification in expanded functions and CPR/BLS. Join a team committed to growth and patient care.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant license/registration/certification as required by state.
• Radiology (x-ray) certification as required by state.
• Current CPR or BLS certificate.
• 2+ years’ experience as a Dental Assistant.
• Proficient at chairside assisting/four-handed dentistry.
• Demonstrate sterilization and infection control techniques.
• Maintain annual CE requirement as specified by state.
• State certification in expanded functions as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist with directing the DA office team to maintain productive patient flow.
• Assist doctors during various treatment procedures.
• Breakdown operatory rooms for doctors and hygienists.
• Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatory; ensure staff is trained.
• Follow maintenance schedules for waterlines, suction lines, autoclave, and compressor.
• Tray and operatory set-up for all procedures.
• Support patient charting for doctors.
• Train others to execute patient handoffs and monitor patient flow.
