Job summary

The University of San Francisco seeks an Associate Dean and University Registrar to lead the Office of the University Registrar, shaping catalog, student records, registration, and graduation services in partnership with IT and other departments.

Responsibilities include directing student records maintenance, FERPA compliance, academic calendar publication, course catalog and schedule management, and coordination of graduation activities, with a strong focus on data integrity and system

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• At least 5 years of successful management in a Registrar’s office or similar higher‑education office.
• Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations such as FERPA, the Solomon Amendment, and IPEDS reporting.
• Record of successful leadership in enrollment management strategies, services, and programs at a university.
• Ability to lead, motivate and energize colleagues, effectively manage departments and programs, and deliver services to diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Serves as University’s leader in developing and delivering services related to student records, transfer credit articulation, registration, enrollment, and graduation.
• Plans and directs the management of student records maintenance, transfer credit articulation, registration, enrollment verification, and transcript services for regular and CEU programs.
• Directs the implementation of efficient processes to ensure security and integrity of student data and records.
• Serves as University compliance officer for FERPA, Solomon Amendment, and other regulations.
• Develops and publishes the academic calendar with Provost and Council of Deans.
• Oversees development and online publication of the university course catalog and schedule of classes.
• Oversees transfer credit articulation agreements with California and selected out-of-state community colleges.
• Oversees Transfer Credit Evaluator portal and graduation activities including degree audits and diplomas.
• Provides staff training on student information system features (e.g., Banner).
• Represents the University at professional meetings and consortia.
