Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Potomac, Maryland, is seeking an Executive Director to oversee all community operations, ensure the quality of care, and maintain financial stability. This on-site leadership role requires guiding staff, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

You will partner with department heads, residents, families, and local agencies to deliver exceptional service while driving growth through sales and operational strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, nursing, or human services preferred or equivalent supervisory experience.
• Licensed Administrator in good standing where required by state law.
• Minimum 5 years in a progressive leadership role in senior living; hospitality experience is a plus.
• Strong budget management and financial planning experience.
• Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings/weekends and be on-call as needed.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• On-site executive for all operations and primary contact for staff, residents, families, and external partners.
• Supervise and motivate department directors and staff; maintain training and morale.
• Maintain high resident satisfaction through quality services.
• Lead development and execution of community sales and operations strategies.
• Ensure compliance with care regulations and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the community budget and cash flow with accountability.
• Provide leadership to staff and residents, solving problems proactively.
• Serve as main liaison with Cogir Senior Living corporate staff.
• Maintain policies, licenses, and compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Review hiring, promotions, discipline, and terminations to retain quality personnel.
• Oversee building grounds, preventative maintenance, and facility inspections.
