Job summary

Travere Therapeutics is seeking an Executive Director, Clinical Development to lead nephrology programs and shape development strategy for rare kidney diseases. You will partner with Research, Regulatory, Biometrics, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, Commercial, and Program Management to drive scientifically rigorous and patient-centered plans.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree required.
• 10+ years in clinical research or drug development with 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience leading nephrology or rare disease programs preferred.
• Strong knowledge of trial design, safety assessment, and data interpretation.
• Experience with regulatory submissions and health authority interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall clinical development strategy for assigned trials and lifecycle planning.
• Design and oversee studies across phases including endpoints and dose selection.
• Provide leadership for study conduct and data interpretation.
• Lead analysis and interpretation of clinical data and key documents.
• Partner with Biostatistics to define analysis strategy and interpretation of data.
• Serve as nephrologist lead for programs, guiding cross-functional goals and milestones.
• Represent Clinical Development at governance forums and develop integrated plans.
• Identify risks early and mitigate across clinical, regulatory, operational, and portfolio aspects.
• Contribute to regulatory strategy and interactions with FDA/EMA.
• Engage with external stakeholders including academics, patient groups, and potential in-licensing assets.
