Job summary

Travere Therapeutics is seeking an Executive Director, Clinical Development to lead nephrology-focused programs in rare kidney diseases. This role partners with Research, Regulatory, Biometrics, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, Commercial, and Program Management to shape strategy and execution of development plans that balance scientific rigor with patient-centric outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree required; advanced training in nephrology strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in clinical research or drug development, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience leading clinical programs in nephrology or rare disease is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design, dose selection, safety assessment, endpoint strategy, and interpretation of complex clinical datasets.
• Experience with regulatory submissions and health authority interactions.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20-25%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall clinical development strategy for assigned trials and shape indication strategy and lifecycle planning.
• Design and oversee studies across phases, including endpoints and dose selection.
• Provide leadership for study conduct and data interpretation.
• Lead analysis and interpretation of clinical data and author key documents (protocols, CSRs, manuscripts).
• Partner with Biostatistics to define analysis strategy and ensure meaningful interpretation of data.
