Job summary

Travere Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Executive Director, Clinical Development to lead nephrology programs within a global portfolio. You will partner with Research, Regulatory, Biometrics, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, and Commercial to shape strategy and execution for rare kidney diseases.

The role reports to the VP of Global Clinical Development and requires a proven track record in leading complex, patient-centered development plans and interactions with health authorities.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree required; advanced training in nephrology strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in clinical research or drug development, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience leading clinical programs in nephrology or rare disease.
• Strong understanding of trial design, dose selection, safety assessment, endpoints, and data interpretation.
• Experience with regulatory submissions and health authority interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall clinical development strategy for assigned trials, shaping indications, TPP, and lifecycle planning.
• Design and oversee studies across phases, including protocol concept, eligibility, endpoints, and dose selection.
• Provide leadership for study conduct and data interpretation; review protocols and CSRs.
• Partner with Biostatistics/BIOM to define analysis strategies and interpret PK/PD and biomarkers.
• Serve as nephrology lead, aligning cross-functional teams to program goals and milestones.
• Represent Clinical Development in governance forums and external interactions with stakeholders.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies spanning clinical, regulatory, and operational domains.
