Job summary

Travere Therapeutics is seeking an Executive Director, Clinical Development to lead nephrology-focused programs within a rare disease portfolio. You will drive strategy, study design, and cross-functional execution with partners across regulatory, translational medicine, medical affairs, and operations.

You will shape development plans, guide governance discussions, and ensure scientifically rigorous, patient-centered approaches that align with corporate goals and portfolio priorities.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree required; advanced nephrology training preferred.
• 10+ years in clinical research or drug development with leadership experience.
• Leadership in clinical development strategy for major programs.
• Experience with regulatory submissions and health authority interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall clinical development strategy for assigned trials and contribute to indication strategy and lifecycle planning.
• Design and oversee protocols across phases, including eligibility, endpoints, dose selection, and statistical considerations.
• Provide leadership for study conduct, protocol deviations, and data interpretation.
• Lead analysis and interpretation of clinical data and author/review core documents (protocols, IBs, CSRs).
• Partner with Biometrics to define analysis plans and ensure meaningful interpretation of efficacy, safety, PK/PD, and biomarkers.
