Job summary

Travere Therapeutics in San Diego is seeking an Executive Director, Clinical Development to lead nephrology programs in rare kidney diseases, shaping strategy and ensuring execution across R&D. Reporting to Global Clinical Development, you will drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver rigorous, patient-centered development plans with measurable milestones.

You will partner with Regulatory, Biometrics, Medical Affairs and Commercial to align plans with regulatory expectations and portfolio

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree required; advanced nephrology training preferred.
• 10+ years in clinical research or drug development; 5+ in leadership of clinical development.
• Experience leading nephrology or rare disease programs; regulatory submissions experience.
• Strong understanding of trial design, endpoints, safety, and data interpretation.
• Excellent communication and influence for senior leadership and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall clinical development strategy for assigned trials and programs.
• Design and oversee studies across phases with endpoints and dose selection.
• Provide leadership for study conduct, data interpretation, and documentation.
• Partner with Biometrics to define analysis strategy and interpretation.
