Job summary

Travere Therapeutics, based in San Diego, is seeking an experienced Executive Director of Clinical Development to lead nephrology programs within rare kidney diseases. You will shape development strategy, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and guide regulatory interactions to advance high-impact therapies.

Reporting to Global Clinical Development leadership, you will oversee trial design, data interpretation, and program governance, driving execution and cross-functional alignment

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent medical degree required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in clinical research or drug development.
• 5+ years in a leadership role responsible for clinical development strategy.
• Prior experience leading clinical programs in nephrology or rare diseases preferred.
• Strong understanding of trial design, safety assessment, and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall clinical development strategy and lifecycle planning for assigned trials.
• Design and oversee studies across phases including endpoints and dose selection.
• Provide leadership for study conduct and data interpretation.
• Lead analysis and interpretation of clinical data and author key documents.
• Partner with Biostatistics to define analysis strategy and regulatory submissions.
