Compass Group USA is seeking an Executive Chef for a hospital setting in Michigan. You will oversee kitchen operations, ensure safety and sanitation, and direct meal preparation per corporate programs and guidelines.

The role offers leadership of culinary teams, focuses on quality, cost controls, and menu development in a patient-centered environment. Healthcare experience is preferred.

Formación

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experiences.
• Hands-on chef experience required.
• Knowledge of food trends, quality, cost controls, and presentation.
• Must be proficient with computers, including MS Office, Outlook, and Internet.
• ServSafe certification highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Plans regular and modified menus according to guidelines.
• Follows standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards; uses production worksheets and waste logs.
• Trains kitchen staff in food preparation, safety, and sanitation per standards.
• Establishes cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Maintains inventory within guidelines and ensures necessary products are available.
• Decides on leftover food utilization within company guidelines.
• Complies with health and safety regulations and audits.
• Participates in departmental meetings and staff development.
