Compass Healthcare is seeking an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, ensuring safety, sanitation, and adherence to corporate programs. Lead culinary staff, plan menus, and maintain quality across high-volume catering services.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, cost controls, training, and collaboration with clients to meet service standards and regulatory requirements. A strong culinary background and ServSafe familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary arts or related field.
• 5+ years in progressive culinary/kitchen management roles.
• Extensive catering experience is a plus.
• Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience preferred.
• Hands-on chef experience required.
• Knowledge of food trends, cost controls, and presentation.
• Proficient with computers (MS Office) and workflows.
• Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan regular and modified menus following guidelines.
• Follow standardized recipes, portions, and presentation standards.
• Train kitchen staff in food prep, safety, and sanitation.
• Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Manage inventories to ensure product availability.
• Decide on handling leftovers within company guidelines.
• Comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Participate in departmental meetings and staff development.
