Job summary

Compass Group USA's Eurest division in Wayzata, MN is seeking an Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations in a high-volume corporate dining setting. You will ensure safety, quality and compliance while delivering exceptional meals.

This role requires hands-on leadership, menu planning, staff training, and collaboration with clients to meet service standards. The ideal candidate holds an AS or equivalent and 5+ years of kitchen management experience, with strong culinary and operational skills.

Qualifications

• AS or equivalent experience required.
• 1+5 years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• High-volume, complex foodservice operations experience desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience.
• Hands-on chef experience required.
• Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, cost controls and presentation.
• Proficiency with computers including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to participate in client satisfaction programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan regular and modified menus per guidelines.
• Follow standardized recipes, portions, and presentation standards; use production worksheets and waste logs.
• Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safety and sanitation.
• Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas.
• Maintain inventory to stay within guidelines and ensure availability.
• Decide on utilization of leftovers within company guidelines.
• Comply with health regulations and audits.
• Attend departmental meetings and staff development programs.
