Eurest, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking an Executive Chef in Austin, TX to lead kitchen operations, ensure safety and sanitation, and deliver high-quality meals for corporate dining and executive rooms.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience.
• Institutional and batch cooking experiences.
• Hands-on chef experience a must.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends, quality and presentation.
• Computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet.
• Willing to participate in client satisfaction programs.

Responsibilities

• Plans regular and modified menus according to guidelines.
• Follows standardized recipes, portions and presentation standards; uses production worksheets and waste logs; tastes meals for quality.
• Trains kitchen staff in food prep, safety and sanitation per company standards.
• Establishes cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and areas; ensures schedules are followed.
• Manages inventory of food and non-food supplies within guidelines.
• Decides on leftover food utilization within company guidelines.
• Complies with health and sanitation regulations and audits.
• Adheres to safety policies and participates in departmental meetings.
