Job summary

Franklin Woods is seeking a full-time Assistant Dining Services Director to lead and supervise all aspects of food preparation and service for residents and staff. This role focuses on delivering high-quality meals, managing staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a nursing center setting.

The position requires prior chef and supervisory experience, Serve Safe certification, and strong English communication skills to support patient safety and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as a chef with supervisory/management experience required.
• Serve Safe and other certifications in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the nursing center required.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors to respond to their medical and physical needs

Responsibilities

• Oversees the planning, development, and supervision of all aspects of food preparation and service.
• Assures menus and recipes are followed to meet resident diets and requests.
• Oversees timely and accurate meal preparation and service, ensuring resident satisfaction.
• Provides direct and indirect supervision of Food and Nutrition Services staff and mentors personnel.
• Ensures compliance with sanitary and food safety regulations and monitors temperatures
