Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility. You will ensure high food quality, manage inventory and safety, and align with client menus and regulations while guiding the site’s food service team.

The role emphasizes staff training, record-keeping, and effective communication with facility leadership to deliver superior dining experiences for residents and guests.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in food service management or hospitality-related coursework preferred.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification preferred or as required by state/county law.
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) within 14 days of employment; FSM and LTC-FSM within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training and quality control; perform roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers and administrators to HCSG staff.
• Ensure sanitary operations; follow infection control and handwashing procedures; maintain attendance and timeliness.
