Job summary

Yona Eagle seeks a District Manager to oversee housekeeping and laundry operations across several skilled nursing facilities. Lead a diverse team, ensure clean, sanitary, and well-supplied environments while meeting regulatory standards.

This role requires strong leadership, budget and staffing management, and a focus on resident satisfaction. Four-year degree and healthcare management experience are valued; compensation reflects responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree and equal related experience strongly desired; high school diploma/GED required.
• Two years’ experience in housekeeping services and multi-facility management in a healthcare environment is desired.
• General business acumen.
• Skilled in motivating and supervising staff members.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service and quality attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.
• Public speaking skills.
• Excellent stress management skills, administrative and organizational, and follow-through with associates and clients.
• Ability to interact positively with residents, clients and other personnel and the public.
• Ability to work all shifts as needed.
• Proficient in Windows-based office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Must be able to work around cleaning chemicals.
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Manages in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Visits each facility in the district regularly to meet with managers and provide feedback for development.
• Maintains contact with clients to ensure satisfaction with services provided by Yona.
• Trains workers in housekeeping, laundry, and floor care procedures and equipment operation.
• Supervises and evaluates the Environmental Services Directors and Supervisors.
• Maintains a sanitary, attractive, and orderly district-wide environment.
• Forecasts and plans purchases of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment.
• Reviews and analyzes all district reports.
• Interviews, hires and orients Environmental Services Managers and Supervisors.
• Maintains proper staffing levels at each facility.
• Maintains knowledge of CBAs in the district.
• Attains financial goals by managing a cost-effective program.
• Maintains records including inventory, compliance, income/expense, and personnel records.
• Conducts regular management staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Ensures survey-readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Maintains excellent relations with residents, visitors, and community departments.
• Participates in facility meetings and committees.
• Promotes professional growth and development of the departmental team.
• Conducts quality assurance rounds and updates on controls.
• Reports monthly initiatives, goals, and accomplishments.
• Promotes and monitors resident satisfaction.
• Performs duties of housekeeper, laundry worker, or floor care technician as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
