Job summary

Encore is seeking a Technical Specialist to manage the technical setup and operation of mid-level production events in hospitality environments in Baltimore. You will ensure top-tier client satisfaction while coordinating with project management leadership and events teams.

You will perform advanced pre/during/post event tasks, supervise technicians, manage equipment maintenance, and develop expertise in AV technology. The role requires physical stamina and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of event technology experience with specialty in Audio, Lighting, Projection, or Video.
• 3-4 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Internal applicants must meet training requirements; external applicants must complete certifications within 60 days.
• Must be able to interact professionally with a diverse workforce and management.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and breakdown advanced audiovisual equipment for events.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly.
• Ensure compliance with security and safety measures; protect equipment from theft or damage.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain client relationships.
• Mentor and develop other staff; stay current with technology and industry trends.
• Supervise technicians during events and assist with inventory and forecasting of equipment needs.
