Job summary

Encore Global in Washington, DC seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead floor operations, manage a technical team and drive customer satisfaction. You will support onsite events, train staff on standards and coordinate with venue management to enhance operational efficiency.

The role requires 3–5 years in customer service/hospitality and AV experience, with a preferred Bachelor’s degree. Expect on-site responsibilities, lifting, and frequent event-driven hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 3–5 years of audio-visual experience required.
• External applicants must meet all training and certification requirements within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must complete Encore’s training program through the Learning Platform.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for team members operating company vehicles.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Additional DOT requirements may apply if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Organizes daily floor activities to ensure timely setup, refresh and removal of equipment.
• Directs technicians' workflow and suggests operational efficiencies to venue management.
• Keeps flowsheets updated and ensures proper completion.
• Establishes coordinated communications for event management and attends venue meetings.
• Provides exceptional service, maintains client relations and ensures equipment works on site.
• Monitors events and checks in on customers throughout the day.
• Assists in training technicians on floor activities and Encore’s service standards.
• Mentors new hires and reinforces a positive work environment.
• Responsible for setup, operation and breakdown of intermediate audiovisual equipment; troubleshoots issues.
• Performs preventative maintenance and ensures equipment security and storage.
• Leads team in security, transport and maintenance of equipment; participates in inventory counts.
