Job summary

Encore is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead floor operations, focusing on customer service, staff development, and AV event technology in a hotel/convention center setting in Miami. You will directly supervise technicians, ensure efficient workflows, and uphold Encore’s service standards both with clients and internal teams.

The role requires AV experience, a valid driver's license for mobile operations, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3–5 years customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
3–5 years audio-visual experience required.
External applicants must meet all training and certification requirements within 60 days of start date.
Internal applicants must meet internal certification requirements.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Organizes the daily floor activities to ensure timely equipment setup, refresh and removal.
Directs technicians and suggests operational efficiencies to management and venue management.
Keeps flowsheets updated and ensures proper communications for event management.
Meets with guests on site to ensure needs are met and equipment works properly.
Assists in training technicians on floor activities and Encore’s standards.
Responsible for setup, operation and breakdown of intermediate AV equipment; troubleshoots issues.
