Job summary

Encore is seeking an Operations Manager to lead floor operations and supervise technicians in a hotel/convention center setting. You will drive service excellence, oversee staffing, and manage inventory, ensuring equipment and services meet customer specifications.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, proactive problem solving, and collaboration with clients, vendors, and hotel teams to deliver seamless events and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of audio visual and customer service/hospitality experience including 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience leading workflow and team members.
• Working knowledge of audio visual equipment in a live show environment.
• Proficiency with the use of computer hardware.
• Proficiency with computer software and programs, including the Internet and Microsoft Office.
• Effective leadership abilities and customer satisfaction focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily floor activities and workflow of technicians to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of equipment and services.
• Provide direct supervision of team members including scheduling and time keeping.
• Review client billing and communicate potential challenges to Director/ Sales Manager.
• Maintain accurate daily equipment sheets and inventory control.
• Attend BEO, Pre-Cons and pre-production meetings as needed and delegate tasks accordingly.
• Lead and mentor operational staff to maximize client satisfaction and onsite upsell opportunities.
• Ensure professional, polished image and adherence to hotel and Encore standards.
• Meet with guests onsite to confirm needs and proper equipment setup.
