Job summary

Encore seeks an IT Operations and Network Specialist to manage hotel-level IT operations, network readiness, and client-facing services. You will setup audiovisual and internet equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure secure, reliable service for events and guests.

You will collaborate with hotel IT and the Area Manager, document network layouts, and support on-site teams during staffing irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
• 3-5 years of field experience in internet services support is required.
• 2-3 years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Internet services, bandwidth, IP wired and wireless networks, principles of computer hardware and software, webcasting.
• Preferred Certifications: CompTIA, Cisco CCENT/CCNA/CCDA/CCNP/Wireless specialties and/or other equivalent network and wireless vendors.
• Technical level 300 Certified. New Encore team members must be certified by their location within 30 days.
• Internal Candidates must show completion of 50% of hands-on skill verification
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with a diverse work force, customer base and senior level management.
• Strong customer, client and coworker interface experience and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: setup, operation, and breakdown of AV and internet gear; troubleshoot issues; ensure security and safety.
• Network Management: monitor network readiness, maintain equipment, document layouts, liaise with ISPs and hotel IT; implement configurations.
• Event Support: plan and execute event tech needs, configure and test equipment, operate video conferencing and webcasting gear; create access codes and guides; forecast inventory.
• Team Support: cover shifts, assist with IT issues and mentor technicians; support onsite team.
• Customer Service: exceed expectations, maintain relationships, ensure equipment works during guest interactions and events.
