Job summary

Encore in Green Bay, WI is seeking a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hospitality setting, ensuring client satisfaction. The role reports to the Operations Manager or Director, Event Technology and requires on-site presence at hotels or venues.

Responsibilities include high-quality event execution, customer service excellence, and accurate system documentation. A driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs are required; prior AV experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• External applicants must meet/validate and complete all training and certifications within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet review training/certification requirements via Encore’s programs.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
• Additional DOT requirements may need to be met if applicable.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment.
• Meets with guests on site to ensure needs are met and equipment is working properly.
• Maintains a positive relationship with clients through effective communication.
• Monitors events and checks in on customers throughout the day.
• Understands and fosters the hotel/client relationship.
• Understands technical aspects and can troubleshoot equipment and software issues.
• Handles equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
• Uses equipment sheets to determine equipment scheduled for setup and strike; interacts with staff and vendors.
• Increases revenue using floor up-selling techniques.
• Works with clients to finalize invoices.
• Completes order entries in Navigator as needed.
