Job summary

Encore seeks a Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment, ensuring total customer satisfaction during hotel events.

You will report to an Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology and work on-site, handling equipment, troubleshooting, and coordinating with staff and vendors. The role requires a valid driver’s license, lift capacity up to 50 lbs, and flexibility for irregular hours.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree preferred.
  • External applicants must meet/validate and complete all training and certifications within 60 days.
  • Internal applicants must meet/certification requirements per Encore’s training program.
  • 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required for team members who may operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and break down basic audiovisual equipment for events.
  • Exceed client expectations and maintain positive relationships with guests and clients.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and software issues in a timely, professional manner.
  • Complete system entry and paperwork accurately; coordinate with staff and vendors.
  • Utilize equipment sheets to determine scheduled gear; assist with invoicing and up-selling.
