Job summary

YMCA of Silicon Valley is seeking a Manager on Duty to supervise the Member Services Desk and Welcome Center, the main hub for membership sales, enrollment, and program information. This role covers mornings, evenings, and weekends, resolving issues promptly and maintaining a welcoming environment.

The MOD will handle daily operations, assist at the desk, complete data input and incident reporting, and support staff with training and coverage.

Qualifications

• 1 year customer service experience.
• Certifications: CPR and First Aid, or be certified within 30 days of hire.
• Possess the physical ability to lead group activities.
• Prior experience in hiring, training and supervising staff.
• Ability to multi-task, define and resolve issues, and make sound independent decisions.
• Possess excellent listening and communication skills.
• This position will be working the closing shift.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions, greet members, guests, participants, and promote Y programs.
• Oversee the facility when a Director is not on site; perform walk-throughs, lifeguard checks and incident reports.
• Follow through with potential members and participants.
• Administrative duties include data entry.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Assist membership services desk and staff.
• Serve as point person for all financial assistance applications/submissions.
• Other duties assigned by supervisor.
