Job summary

YMCA of the North in Maplewood, MN is seeking a friendly Member Service staffer to assist with memberships and program registrations, answer questions, provide facility tours, and support members using YMCA systems while delivering exceptional service.

You will help promote YMCA programs, handle member needs, and contribute to a welcoming, clean, and organized Member Service Area, upholding YMCA values and a standard of excellence.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service, sales, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer knowledge and ability to use membership software.
• Ability to obtain CPR/PR, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen certifications within 30 days of hire.
• Self-directed and motivated with inclusive mindset.
• Ability to multi-task and work with a diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to members, guests, and participants in the branch and on the phone.
• Create a high-level experience for members and guests through engagement and connection.
• Understand and enforce all applicable YMCA policies.
• Operate membership software and office equipment.
• Assist in handling and resolving member concerns and inform appropriate team member or manager of issues.
• Assist in the sale of YMCA programs, services and products.
• Provide tours to prospective members.
• Maintain towels at Member Services.
