Ochsner Health seeks a part-time Unit Clerk to support admit, discharge, and transfer processes on the assigned unit. You will handle reservations, phone management, and follow-up with patients, families, and staff to ensure timely requests are met.

Key duties include clerical support, responding to inquiries, and acting as a Patient Experience Ambassador. Familiarity with EPIC and medical terminology is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience not required; healthcare experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provides clerical support for the department.
• Responds to requests from patients, family, and staff and refers to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Serves as Patient Experience Ambassador for the unit.
• Assesses EPIC chart reports to ensure proper unit charges.
• Adapts communication to the specific patient population and obtains necessary permissions.
