Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a Minute Clinic Virtual Care Nurse Practitioner (Provider) for a full-time evening shift (2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.) with every-other weekend.

The role delivers holistic, evidence-based care remotely to patients aged 18 months and up, collaborating with a team of professionals in a telehealth setting. Ideal candidates hold an active Family Nurse Practitioner license with National Board Certification and must obtain state licensure as required.

Qualifications

• Two years of medically-relevant experience minimum.
• Current, unrestricted NP license in eligible states.
• Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Initiative, problem solving ability, adaptability and flexibility.
• Ability to work without direct supervision and practice autonomously.
• Is proficient with information management and technology.
• Capacity to collaborate with professional colleagues as necessary to provide quality care.
• Depending on the market, the ability to be proficient in both speaking and writing in additional languages may be required (e.g., Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, evidenced based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients.
• Evaluate primary care, acute, chronically ill, and transitional care patients, and provide health education and counseling.
• Provide patient counseling on pregnancy prevention, STI prevention/safer sex practices, and contraceptive care and medication management.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and respond to patient care inquiries.
• Document all patient care within an EHR according to MinuteClinic policies and procedures.
• Provide care and coordination with internal and external colleagues to ensure high quality care.
• Work within a patient care team including Providers, Collaborative Physicians, paraprofessionals, Pharmacists and other health care team members.
• Work independently, prioritize and solve problems, take initiative, and advocate for patients and practice.
