Job summary

Food Lion is seeking an Evening Store Manager to oversee operations, staff development, and customer service excellence. You will lead daily store activities, supervise associates, and ensure compliance with safety, security, and food safety standards.

You will drive performance using company tools and coaching, while maintaining budgetary targets and delivering high standards of merchandising and service across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to learn multiple tasks.
• Must meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with day-to-day store operations.
• Hire, train, and develop associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal, and disciplinary actions.
• Provide leadership to promote Food Lion's guiding principles and values.
• Ensure security, safety, and food safety standards are maintained at high levels.
• Observe and enforce company policies, security, and loss prevention practices.
• Utilize tools like ACIS, CAO, and scheduling to meet financial and operating targets.
• Ensure staffing levels meet business needs across departments.
