You will lead store teams, hire and train associates, enforce safety and food safety standards, and collaborate with store leadership to meet budgeted results while maintaining a positive shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and manage associates across multiple departments.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• National Registry of Food Safety Professionals accreditation or willingness to attain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with day-to-day store operations.
• Hire, train and develop associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with focus on fast and easy service.
• Provide leadership to promote Food Lion's Guiding Principles and values.
• Ensure proper control of store funds and assets.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and ensure safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Utilize financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, and CAO tools.
• Support achievement of store budgeted results.
• Maximize sales through customer service and minimize shrink.
• Ensure staffing aligns with business needs across departments.
• Meet federal, state, and local regulations.
