Job summary

Food Lion is seeking an Evening Operations Manager to oversee store operations, drive sales, and ensure food safety and security standards are upheld. You will lead associates, manage schedules, and guide performance while aligning with the company's guiding principles and goals.

The role requires Department Manager experience, strong communication, and a hands-on approach to daily tasks, inventory, and customer service excellence across departments.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to learn multiple tasks.
• Ability to lead associates across departments and meet staffing needs.
• Must meet minimum age requirements; ability to meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with day-to-day store operations.
• Hire, train, and develop associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary actions.
• Provide leadership to promote Food Lion's values and strategy.
• Control store funds and company assets.
• Ensure safety, security, and food safety standards are met.
• Use tools like ACIS, scheduling, and inventory systems.
• Support achievement of store budgeted results.
• Maximize sales through customer service and minimize shrink.
