Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position; able to stand long hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with day-to-day store operations.
• Hire, train, and develop associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts.
• Provide leadership to promote Food Lion values and store objectives.
• Ensure proper control of store funds and assets.
• Observe safety, security and food safety standards across the store.
• Utilize company tools and reports for inventory, scheduling and ordering.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
