Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative to deliver an exceptional experience from entry to exit. You will assist with registration, insurance verification and payments, and guide patients through the Epic system.

This evening position runs 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. with every other weekend and holiday rotations, and requires completing a 2-week Epic training on-site before your assigned schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years customer-facing experience, OR Associate's degree with 1 year, OR Bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to understand physician orders or completion of course within one year.
• Basic PC software skills and ability to use multiple data systems.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and obtain demographics, insurance, medical and financial information.
• Crosstrain to staff all areas: front desk, admitting, ED, and cash register.
• Function as a Super User and train new caregivers.
• Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic.
