Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General’s Stow Health and Wellness Center is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join the team in the ED. You will handle registration, verify insurance, collect co-pays and schedule services, contributing to a seamless patient experience.

The role requires patient-friendly communication, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to work evenings with weekend rotation. Epic training will be provided on-site at Stow Health and Wellness Center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two years in a customer-facing role preferred.
• Associate’s degree with one year of experience or Bachelor’s degree required/ preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology or related coursework is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform registration and collect demographics, insurance, medical and financial information.
• Crosstrain to staff all areas of patient access (front desk, admitting, ED, cash register).
• Serve as a Super User and assist in training new caregivers.
