Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Cleveland is seeking a Patient Access Representative I for the Emergency Department. You will handle registration, insurance eligibility, collect co-payments, and help patients from entry to departure.

This role offers a strong foundation to advance within the Cleveland Clinic system and includes opportunities such as tuition reimbursement. You'll work nights 7:00 pm–3:30 am with every other weekend and holiday rotations, and you may cross-train across front

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and two years of customer-facing experience, or an Associate's Degree with one year of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree.
Knowledge of medical terminology to understand physician orders or completion within one year.
Basic PC software applications and ability to use multiple data systems.
Ability to work confidently and efficiently in an emergency department setting.

Responsibilities

Perform registration and obtain demographic, insurance, medical and financial information.
Crosstrain to staff all patient access areas: front desk, admitting office, ED, and cash register.
Function as a Super User and assist training of new caregivers.
Provide registration and cash collection access in Epic.
