Job summary

University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center is seeking a Part-time Patient Access Representative (24 hours/week) with shifts starting as early as 6:30am and rotating weekends. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, help with scheduling and MyChart enrollment, and manage payments in EPIC.

Qualifications

• High School GED is required.
• Associate degree progress preferred.
• 1+ year of customer service required; healthcare experience a plus.
• Familiarity with EPIC and patient data entry is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients by checking in/out in a professional manner.
• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and assist with MyChart enrollment.
• Enter and verify patient demographics, insurance, and payments.
• Communicate with providers and staff to support patient care.
• Collect copays, coinsurance, and outstanding balances.
• Process forms and documentation for registrations.
• Work with EPIC workqueues and inbasket messages.
• Schedule referrals and follow-up visits.
• Ensure privacy and PHI protection per policy.
