Job summary

Adena Health System in Ohio seeks a Patient Access Representative to support scheduling, pre-registration, and registration for services. This role uses EPIC or phone to gather patient data and verify insurance and financial information for billing purposes.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and at least 6 months of hospital clerical or customer service experience. It is part-time (24 hours) with a day shift, onsite at the Same Day Clinic.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
• 6 months experience in a hospital clerical, general clerical or customer service related position.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, pre-register, and register patients for all services at Adena Health System.
• Use EPIC or phone to gather demographic, insurance and financial information.
• Obtain precertification/authorization and other information for billing and patient accounts.
• Ensure patient insurance coverage is active and collect time-of-service payments.
• Enter diagnoses and orders to support timely patient care.
