Job summary

Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for the PACU and perioperative areas. This full-time role is 0.9 FTE with evening shifts, focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and support staff.

The RN will assess patients, administer medications, monitor vitals, and participate in post-anesthesia recovery activities while maintaining safety and comfort for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Indiana.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR/code team activities.
• Document patient care thoroughly in medical records.
