Lutheran Downtown Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Emergency Services team. The role focuses on patient-centered care, rapid assessment, and collaboration with physicians and nursing staff to deliver safe, high-quality care.

You will administer medications, assist with procedures, provide patient education, and participate in performance improvement initiatives while adhering to infection control standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• Current RN license in state or compact license.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred.
• Ability to perform rapid assessment and triage.
• Ability to document and communicate clearly with care teams.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process and policies.
• Assess patients thoroughly and document findings; report changes to care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans with the team.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
