Job summary

Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Evening shifts (12:30pm-11:00pm) on a full-time basis. The role includes main OR and perioperative responsibilities, 10-hour shifts, with occasional weekend and holiday call rotations as described.

The RN delivers patient-centered care using nursing processes, conducts assessments, administers medications, and collaborates with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes while maintaining a compassionate

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting.
• Active RN licensure in state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care using nursing process.
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes to care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency scope.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, care plans and post-discharge needs.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions as needed.
• Ensure infection control and maintain a safe care environment.
