Job summary

Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne is seeking a part-time RN for the PACU with evening hours (.5 FTE). The role emphasizes recovery care, collaboration with perioperative teams, and adherence to clinical protocols.

The RN will assess, monitor, and manage postoperative patients, administer medications, and provide patient and family education while maintaining safety standards. PACU or critical care experience is required or preferred, with BLS mandated.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license to practice in Indiana.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• PACU or critical care experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Document assessments and report changes to the care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Educate patients and families about care and discharge instructions.
• Ensure infection control and patient safety.
