Job summary

Lutheran Downtown Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN, is seeking an Registered Nurse for evening shifts (3x12s, 5p–5a). The RN provides patient-centered care using the nursing process, coordinates with physicians and the care team, and ensures safety and quality in daily operations.

New increased pay rates include up to a $35k sign-on bonus with relocation assistance, extensive benefits such as health, dental and vision, a 401(k) plan with matching, and student loan repayment up to $20,000.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• Current RN license state licensure or compact licensure.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR and code teams.
• Document care and education thoroughly.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
