Job summary

The Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a Monday-Friday, 4:30-9:30pm shift in Baltimore, MD. This on-site, part-time role focuses on personal support for individuals with developmental disabilities within a residential setting. Compensation is $19.75 per hour, with benefits listed in the company's total rewards.

You will assist residents with daily living skills, coordinate activities, and follow medication and safety procedures while maintaining a supportive home environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push adequate weight to assist individuals supported (may exceed 50 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Work in the residence of a person served as a personal support, staying engaged with them to ensure programs and activities benefit the person served at home and in the community.
• Provide supervision and training to adults with developmental disabilities to promote growth toward their highest potential per individual plans.
• Ensure the house is personalized to each person’s preferences and personality.
• Teach and instruct individuals to do as much as possible for themselves per program plans.
• Transport persons served to appointments and activities.
• Administer correct and timely medication per PMOF and MAR with three-way checks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the home and belongings.
• Attend scheduled meetings with supervisors and program managers.
