The Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional for Saturdays (8a-11pm) in Baltimore, MD. This on-site, part-time role provides personal support to individuals with developmental disabilities and involves supervised daily living activities and community involvement.

You will join a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people reach their fullest potential through comprehensive supports, including education, employment, and residential services.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Commitment to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Work in the residence of a person served as a personal support and engage with them, ensuring programs and activities are carried out.
• Provide supervision and training to adults with developmental disabilities to promote growth toward goals.
• Ensure the house is personalized to each person’s preferences and personality.
• Teach and instruct people served to do as much as possible for themselves per program plans.
• Communicate with day program staff about individual programs when requested.
• Maintain timely records and reports (monthly, incident, seizure, activity logs).
• Transport persons served to appointments and community activities.
